Objectives
To develop the ability to handle problems of continuity and change over time. To develop knowledge and understanding of the gradual breakdown of the international order established at the close of the First World War and its total collapse 20 years later.Skills outcomes

Syllabus
Relations between the Great Powers of Europe, Asia, the Far East and the American continent. The interaction of European and extra-European developments and their effect upon the foreign policies of the Great Powers. The function and performance of international organisations and regional groupings; the relationship between economic, military, strategic and political factors in the making of foreign policy.
BA-International History and Politics students will have priority for places on this module.
