Objectives
On completion of this module, students should be able to:- demonstrate the ability to carry out a higher level design project incorporating appropriate research under supervision;
- select and apply appropriate conceptual and practical tools to support the project and manage time;
- show creative and innovative skills in problem solving and an understanding of the constraints;
- present outcomes in a visually stimulating manner.
Syllabus
Key generic lectures will impart information to students about the nature of the module and aspects of project development which are independent of the individual's specific project discipline. These will be delivered to the complete cohort.
Group tutorials will be provided to cater for the more focussed aspects of project development and to enable group contribution to the project work.
Individual supervision tutorials of 1 hour duration will guide the specific aspects and monitor the progress of that student and how effectively the assessment criteria are being adhered to.
