Objectives
This course aims to give participants a sound grounding in research methods at the level necessary to: 1) facilitate their undertaking of a research project to meet the requirements of the dissertation, and 2) allow them to use and evaluate research methods in a business environment.Learning outcomes
On completion of this module participants will be able to:
- critically evaluate alternative research methods
- locate and evaluate relevant literature for a project
- compare and evaluate potential data collection methods
- compare and evaluate potential data analysis methods
- evaluate research strategies, data collection methods and data analysis methods in the context of a particular project
- use these evaluations as the basis for the design of a research project and the development of a research proposal
