Objectives
On completion of this module, students will have obtained all the necessary theoretical knowledge required for an Airline Transport Pilots Licence (ATPL).Learning outcomes
On completion of this module students should:
- have an understanding of aircraft aerodynamics, systems, electrics and instrumentation;
- understand the importance of working as both a leader and a team member, specifically within the specific confines of a cockpit;
- have the capability to decode and use all air navigation charts;
- understand the worldwide communication systems of the air, for both VFR and IFR flight;
- have a knowledge of the ground and air procedures required for commercial operations;
- have a good understanding of the rules and laws of the air;
- have the ability to calculate the weight restrictions for commercial flights.
