Teachers are introduced to principles and strategies for effective leadership and management of staff with particular attention given to the deployment of knowledge, attitudes and expertise within a supportive context. Identification of priorities and the selection, matching, allocation and management of resources are all taken into consideration. The different strands of the module are brought together to focus on the development, monitoring and evaluation of aspects of school provision; in this there will be attention to the balance between provision at the level of the school and of the individual pupil, and recognition given to the significance of the pupil's perspectives on the learning experiences that are provided.
