Module summary
In order to pass this module, students must obtain a mark of at least 30% in any assessment component which has a weighting of more than 30% of the total module mark.Objectives
On completion of this module, students should be able to ...- Have developed to an advanced level the electronic music production and composition skills acquired in Year 1 via ELEC1875
- Begun to specialise in certain areas of media music creation
- Begun to co-ordinate their work in the DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) environment with practical work undertaken in the School of Music
Learning outcomes
- Deep Knowledge of specified DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) software
- Advanced experience of creative music practice through industry specific writing briefs
- Advanced music production skills in the electronic studio environment

Advanced techniques in the following areas:
- Audio and MIDI editing
- Synthesis
- Mixing
- Audio processing and effects
- Music creation and editing for media applications
