Objectives
To provide students with a knowledge and understanding of how electronics and communications technology is, and could be, used in medical applications and healthcare.Learning outcomes
On completion of this module students should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the role of electronics and communications in modern medicine and healthcare. They should be able to contribute to strategic planning, systems implementation and operation of e-health systems.

- Prosthetics and biomechatronics
- Biomimetic microelectronic systems

- Care-in-the-home and the ageing population
- Societal Impact, ownership of health
- Ethics, privacy and security
- Rehabilitation
