The exact syllabus should be arranged with the host institution and is subject to the approval fo the Year Abroad tutor. Modules selected should not duplicate those taken by the student when they are at Leeds. They should however, be chosen to provide adequate preparation for the modules that the student will take at Leeds on their return. Permission must be obtained from the Study Abroad tutor for any amendments to the approved study plan. It is likely that they will supplement their studies with academic modules which broaden the focus of their degree programme and/or modules related to the history, culture, language or literature of the host country.
