Opportunities for Formative Feedback
Continuous formative assessment via classroom discussion, seminars, and tutorials. The short essay which is due in week 7 is intended to provide early formative feedback for the longer essay and to provide an opportunity to discuss progress and identify any issues with progression at an early stage. This recognises that the vast majority of the cohort will be international students, who are often not used to critical writing of this nature. The assessment will also enable tutors to identify any persistent language issues and enable extra support to be provided. Methods of assessment
