This module allows you to carry out an in-depth investigation of an aspect of work that interests you. This could be a piece of research identified by your organisation, a critical evaluation of a recent activity, a feasibility study for a new activity, the development of a new learning resource - the choice is yours.Objectives
The aim of this module is to provide the opportunity to undertake an in-depth project or activity in the workplace.Learning outcomes
By the end of the module students will have knowledge of:
- a particular aspect of the workplace & its context within the whole;
- the skills & knowledge needed to undertake & manage project work&/or activities in the workplace;
- the roles & responsibilities of significant staff within (& potentially outwith) the organisation.
Skills outcomes
By the end of the module students will be better able to:
- work individually & as part of a team to complete an agreed project or activity;
- utilise a range of skills for researching the workplace;
- reflect critically on their personal contribution to the workplace;
- determine the most effective way to present information to particular groups.
