Objectives
On completion of this module students should be able to:1. evaluate the full programme of study and review how the learning experience has impacted upon their professional development;
2. assess the possible impact of the project/study programme for the organisation;
3. evaluate their own learning, that of others involved in the programme (with particular reference to the value of the 'learning set'), and the employing organisation;
4. identify ways in which the learning from the project work/study programme could be developed and utilised;
5. assess the potential to transfer the learning outcomes from the programme to meet organisational needs.
Syllabus
The aim of this module is to allow students to undertake a rigorous evaluation of the programme of study/project, and to assess personal development and potential benefits to their employing organisation. Coverage will include:
1. purpose, models and strategies for effective evaluation;
2. review and evaluation of individual modules and of the full programme of study;
3. review and evaluation of the personal learning experience, and an evaluation of how this has aided professional development;
4. evaluation of the actual and potential impact of the learning undertaken to the employing organisation;
5. evaluation of learning sets and group work as tools to aid learning.
