Objectives
On completion of this module, students should be able to:a) Get familiar with systematic search strategy to find scientific resources;
b) Be able to evaluate the material found in terms of quality and reliability;
c) Learn about systematic referencing convention;
d) Use acquired information skills to complete independent projects and essays;
e) Gain employability skills through writing and presentation assignments.
Syllabus
a) Using the Library catalogue, journals, Web of Science, use of the Web, evaluation of material, referencing conventions;
b)Complete independent project based on a journal article;
c) Writing of mathematical reports and essays;
d) Short presentation on project.
