Module summary

SPPO1010 is an integrated Spanish language and language skills module, designed to continue learning Spanish after A-level. The module places particular emphasis on the development and application of the four skills (reading, listening, speaking and writing) in a variety of relevant communicative contexts.

Objectives

Students will gain knowledge on Spanish Grammar at the B2 level of the CEFR and will progress to the highest level of command of Spanish.

The module places particular emphasis on the development of speaking and writing skills, and their application in a variety of analytical, rhetorical and communicative contexts. It is intended to be 'contemporary' in its outlook, both in its approach to teaching and learning and also in its invitation to you to become an 'independent language learner', capable of taking charge of your own development as a Spanish speaker.

Learning outcomes
Students will gain knowledge on Spanish Grammar at the B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) and will acquire a level of discursive, lexical and functional competence which will allow them to communicate in professional situations both in writing and orally.
