On completion of the module students should be able to:- To present the principles of IWRM;- To present the system and practicalities of water resource management;- To present the overall objectives of a water supply system;- To introduce the key components of a supply system;- To demonstrate how to design a supply system.The syllabus includes:- Integrated water resources management;- Methods, tools and regulation for WRM;- Design of water systems;- Water treatment;- Point source development;- Network design and distribution;- Operations and Management;- Issues of social equity in water supply;Objectives
