Pre-requisite qualifications
None, although it is advantageous to have completed the Research Methods module.Objectives
On completion of this module, students will have:- improved their skills in searching databases;
- improved their skills in critically appraising literature;
- a greater understanding of how to apply these skills in improving their management of patient care.
Syllabus
This module follows the principles of courses on evidence-based health care.
Students are taught almost entirely in small groups, with practical opportunities to improve searching skills, appraising research articles and discussing the implications for patient care and health services.
