Syllabus
This module provides students with the opportunity to consolidate working practices developed in Levels 1 and 2, to demonstrate an analytical approach to the development of a fashion design portfolio in their chosen pathway.
The importance of primary and secondary research, analysis, technical and creative expertise related to the chosen pathway areas and design themes, are key features of this module. Emphasis will be placed on the importance and value of developing a personal inventive and creative ability, in order to provide evidence of sequential development in relation to concept and interpretation.
Planning, practice and evaluation will help demonstrate student's ability to prepare a range of concepts for a global market. This portfolio will form a tool that will help prepare students for interview.
The creative and professional value of group critiques will play an important part of this module. This will take place through presentation of research in progress, for discussion and review by peer group and tutors.
