Objectives

On completion of this module students will be familiar with a range of circuits, systems and laboratory equipment and circuit design /development tools

Learning outcomes
- Students will become familiar with a range of circuit techniques and specialist test and measurement equipment.
- Students will have the opportunity to develop practical skills in various aspects of electronic circuit design and development, including modern microcontroller techniques.
- Topics covered will complement the modules studied on other parts of the MSc programmes.

Skills outcomes
Students will demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the equipment, software, circuits and subsystems employed in the design and testing of electronic systems.


Syllabus

Students will conduct a range of laboratory experiments and mini projects.

Private study

Independent On-line learning includes reading module notes to prepare for laboratory sessions and other relevent background material as required. Private study includes writing up the laboratory project reports.

Opportunities for Formative Feedback

Students progress will be monitored in the laboratory work by regular evaluation of laboratory record books and feedback on the first laboratory report.
