Objectives
On completion of this module, students should be able to:1. explain the basic problem that they are tackling;
2. discuss a literature survey that they have produced via background reading;
3. use the above background reading to investigate the problem in hand (amount will vary according to project);
4. analyse results via simulations and/or practical work (amount will vary according to project);
5. apply critical analysis and conclusions from their previous work;
6. put all of the aforementioned into a report that will be called the Final Report.

Private study
Working on different aspects of the project and making progress (monitored by the supervisor).Specialist lecturers from industry and other universities will deliver a small number of (non-assessed) broad-based lectures that will cover aspects of all modules.
