Objectives
This module will provide students with opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills as reflective practioners through a work-based project.Learning outcomes
On completion of this module, students should be able to:
- show development of their skills as reflective practioners through personal learning at work
- work individually to complete a relevant and agreed project or task
- demonstrate a critical approach to practice both when working with others and working unsupervised
- demonstrate competence in managing self in the workplace
- analyse critically significant incidents in the workplace
-demonstrate appreciation of the development and limitations of professional practice
- show awareness of the ethical issues associated with a work-based project in settings that involve children, young people and families
-demonstrate an understanding of cultural diversity and the issues that this poses in the work-setting
-recognise the extent to which learning from the project may be applied to other settings and situations.

Syllabus
Students will explore critically issues and challenges in their workplace. Students will develop their ability to learn from and critically reflect on their practice.
-Opportunity to draw on ongoing work experience and to apply and test learning in the work setting.
A portfolio of evidence will be developed exploring critical incidents in the workplace.
