Syllabus
Students carry out an individual investigation into an aspect of architectural history & theory from a selected list of themes. Guided by lectures, seminars and tutorials, this primarily literature-sourced project will allow students to develop their own understanding of the relationship between theoretical writing and design practice.
This module is a significantly self-directed investigative study, with students choosing a research topic from a given list of current issues in architectural history & theory. Students undertake a literature review of the chosen topic, analysing and evaluating their findings before writing a 6,000 word dissertation of their findings and insights.
