Syllabus
This module is principally concerned with the innovation design and production of contemporary garment prototypes, which reflects a total individual concept, underpinned by original research. This module is not project based; therefore after negotiation and agreement with tutors, students will provide a 1,000-word study proposal that outlines their intentions, accompanied by a comprehensive time management plan.
The ability to sustain a theme by working within clearly defined global, societal and commercial parameters, are all essential elements of this module.
Where possible students are encouraged to endorse industrial relevance by researching existing global innovations.
An important aspect is the ability to examine the subject area within a wider context and show an informed understanding of relevant sociological, cultural, technical and commercial aspects.
