All dissertation topics are approved by the Programme Director, prior to the module starting. The Dissertation Supervisor has primary responsibility to monitor the progress of the student's schedule of activities and learning during the module. Students and supervisors agree written minutes of each supervision meeting. Individual feedback is provided when the Supervisors read and comment on drafts of all dissertation chapters during the module. The first literature review assignment is submitted early in the module, and students receive individual feedback and a mark around one third of the way through the module. Students also give a short oral presentation to their peers halfway through the module on their dissertation topic, with written peer feedback provided. Students complete an online plagiarism quiz, with an individual mark, feedback and follow-up support for low scorers.
