In addition, they should:

Syllabus

The general aim of this module is to build on the basic grounding provided by level 2 modules to develop and in-depth understanding of some crucial issues of contemporary importance in the philosophy of knowledge, mind and action. Since the student will already have had a broard introduction to the philosophy of mind and knowledge in either Phil 2402:Introduction to Epistemology: Theory and Evidence or Phil 2422: Introduction to Epistemology: Knowledge and Justification, in this module we will choose a small number of very central topics of current work in the philosophy of knowledge, mind and action, and investigate them thoroughly. The topics vary from year to year but are chosed by the instructor from the short list: (Knowledge of Self and Others; Philosophy of Action; Philosophy of Perception; Advanced Epistemology); or a topic is chosen that covers more than one of those categories.
