Syllabus

The first two laboratory sessions are a group experiment designed to give an introduction to taking measurements, graph plotting and error analysis. The remaining sessions will consist of a variety of experiments drawn from: Atomic Physics, Optics, Thermal Physics and Electromagnetism.
There are two other items of coursework, plus a three hour exam on the last week to test practical skills gained over the semester. The coursework items are a formal report, chosen from one of the eight experiments carried out, and four exercises linked to this to build the skills required for the formal report.
