Module summary

To develop skills in communicating physics (written and verbal) in preparation for projects/dissertations.This module will allow students to research a topic of physics and communicate it in various formats: written report, oral presentation, viva.Students will also develop written communication skills in preparation for future career applications.

Objectives

On completion of this module, students should be able to further develop skills in communicating information in written and verbal formats.

Learning outcomes
- To research a topic in physics and write a well referenced report.
- To produce slides and deliver an oral presentation
- To answer questions about the chosen topic.
- To prepare a CV and covering letter for application for a job / placement / further study.
