Objectives

Upon completing this module, you should be able to:

• Understand and evaluate the CSR issues which impact upon firm performance.
• Critically assess how a firm’s characteristics shape the effectiveness of different CSR strategies
• Evaluate how business context and market affect the selection of effective CSR strategies (“the business case for CSR”)
• Synthesise multiple, competing issues into a coherent approach to CSR in a given context (“CSR strategy development”)

2. Environmental, sustainability and CSR policies
3. Approaches (and their critics) in CSR and sustainable business
4. Sustainability challenges in the sharing economy
5. Corporate governance
6. Collaboration, partnerships and dialogue
7. Communication and stakeholder engagement
8. Ranking and benchmarking
9. Corporate lobbying in sustainability and CSR
