Objectives

To introduce students to further basic Japanese language skills.

Skills outcomes
Further basic Japanese language skills for oral and written communication.

Syllabus

The module will consist of 6 student contact hours per week. These will comprise: 1. Introduction to new grammatical points. 2. Dialogue practice. 3. Practical exercises based on new grammatical points. 4. Listening comprehension and computer-based language exercises (using Language Laboratory and computer facilities). 5. Script. 6. Oral practice. Students will be expected to build on their knowledge of kanji characters - and to have covered approximately 250 by the end of the module.
