Opportunities for Formative Feedback

An academic supervisor will be appointed for each student. The role of the academic supervisor is to ensure that the student is well informed about the method of assessment for the module and the marking criteria by which it is judged. Academic supervision meetings are negotiated by the student to provide academic advice, support and guidance for the development and presentation of the student project.
After the first meeting with the supervisor the student is expected to take charge of the process and contact their supervisor to make appointments to see them as necessary. It is expected that about 6 meetings will take place during the course of the project. If any specialist advice or tuition is required the supervisor should be able to direct the student to an appropriate member of staff.
