Objectives
This module introduces the researcher who is familiar with a basic understanding of quantitative and qualitative research to the principles of combining qualitative and quantitative methods in imaginative ways.Learning outcomes
On successful completion of this module students should be able to:
1) discuss the philosophical assumptions of mixed methodology;
2) design a mixed methods study;
3) differentiate between mixed and multi method research;
4) demonstrate critical awareness of quality in mixed methods research.

- Students will need to prepare for critical appraisal session by reviewing set papers- Work in groups to design a study around a given topic.
