Objectives
On completion of this module, students should be able to:demonstrate an informed understanding and a critical appreciation of a variety of Italian narrative texts, such as short stories, newspaper articles, and films.
Syllabus
This module will introduce students to the understanding and critical appreciation of narratives representing aspects of Italy, past and present. The narratives will be drawn from different genres (such as prose fiction, the cinema, newspaper articles) but will be linked by a common theme. This module is intended primarily for students required to study abroad in the second half of semester 2.
Teaching methods
Seminars: 5 x 1 hour

Reading of text(s): 25 hours;Seminar preparation: 2 hours per seminar = 10 hours;
