Module summary

This module is designed to support the development of academic skills across all of the modules of your programme of study. The module will address areas such as academic and reflective writing, referencing and research skills, as well as developing professional skills essential to the working environment.

Objectives

The aim of the module is to prepare students for the study of management through the development of academic skills and the application of these to their subject specific studies.

Learning outcomes

On completion of the module you will be able to:
- Apply numeracy and IT skills to the standard expected within a business context
- Produce an essay following relevant academic conventions
- Apply a range of communication skills within an organisational context
- Develop an online professional profile
