Objectives
This module aims to provide students with a sound grounding in research methods in order to be able to undertake an academic research project such as a dissertation at a level sufficient to meet their Programme requirements as well as being able to implement evidence-based practice in a business environment.Learning outcomes
On completion of this module, students will be able to critically evaluate:
- alternative research methods
- alternative data collection methods
- alternative data analysis methods
Skills outcomes
On completion of this module, students will be able to:

- evaluate research strategies, data collection methods and data analysis methods
- implement evidence-based practice in a business environment
- design a research project and write a research proposal
- locate and evaluate relevant literature for a project

Statistical analysis: data visualisation; descriptive statistics; probability distributions; confidence intervals; hypothesis testing; correlation and regression analysis
