Objectives

On completion of this module, students should be able to:

(a) understand hidden Markov models and dynamic programming algorithms
(b) understand bioinformatic sequence alignment algorithms
(c) be familiar with applications of HMMs in bioinformatics
(d) use bioinformatic software to analyse biological sequences.
