Objectives

This class develops basic skills in philosophy through engagement with classic philosophical texts.

Learning outcomes
Familiarity with classic philosophical texts, mostly from the Enlightenment period. Critical reading skills. Argument reconstruction skills. Ability to charitably interpret a text. Basic writing for philosophy. Basic first-order logic.
