Objectives

1. To develop an understanding of the concepts associated with projects and project management;

2. To increase understanding of the relationships between projects, organisations and stakeholders;

3. To promote competence in using tools and techniques relevant to scope, integration and risk management.

2. Apply management tools/techniques for identifying project risk;

3. Apply management tools/techniques for managing project scope and integration.

4. Select strategies for project team development;

5. Apply management tools/techniques to assess project success and failure.

Private study

Students will be expected to study the relevant resources, evaluate the cases associated with the module and prepare for the examinatons in their own time. These activities are estimated to require 52 hours.

Opportunities for Formative Feedback

Student progress is monitored during the tutorial sessions. Students will be expected to take an active part in the tutorials by way of presenting their thoughts/ideas and solutions in response to set case study tasks.
