Objectives
On successful completion of the module students should be able to:- design and critically evaluate methods to assess the learning that has taken place
- facilitate the development of the skills acquired in Learning and Teaching for Primary Care Educators I in others
- demonstrate an understanding of models of adult developmental learning, and how learning affects learners
- facilitate groups of learners and demonstrate understanding of group dynamics
- understand the principles of and critically appraise educational research and development initiatives, including the use of IT
Syllabus
- Assessment: methods of assessment, validity, reliability and fairness; how assessment affects learning
- Development and change: how learning affects the learner; theories of developmental learnings; adult learners
- Learning in groups: group dynamics, skills of group facilitation
- Research and development: educational research, new ideas in learning and teaching, informatics
