Objectives
This module aims to develop knowledge and expertise in managing operations and processes. It assesses and solves contemporary operations and supply chain problems via the application of contemporary operations management and supply chain management theories, models and tools. Key learning is developed through team-based activities to apply related theories and tools for assessing various operations and supply chain problems.Learning outcomes
On completion of this module students will be able to:
- Critically evaluate the core theories, nature and practice of operations and supply chain management
- Assess key issues and concerns of operations and supply chain management
- Interpret and evaluate the contribution of operations and supply chain management to determining and achieving corporate/business strategy

Opportunities for Formative Feedback
During the workshops students receive feedback and their progress is monitored by themselves and tutors on an ongoing basis, e.g. class discussion and student presentations during seminars focused on case studies.Outside of the workshops, students will be given the opportunity for feedback via telephone and/or email discussions with the LUBS tutors. This will enable them to further monitor their progress.
