Learning outcomes
On completion of this module students should be able to:
- assess and evaluate the latest micromanipulation techniques and their risks and benefits to the patient;
- have a comprehensive knowledge of how to set up a PGD service and how to apply it to the appropriate patients;
- critically evaluate the epigenetic risks associated with the use of assisted reproduction and micromanipulation technologies.
Skills outcomes
Students will learn the latest micromanipulation techniques; their risks and benefits.
Students will learn how to provide a preimplantation genetic diagnosis service to appropriate patients.
Students will learn the epigenetic disorders resulting from the use of assisted reproduction techniques.
