Opportunities for Formative Feedback

Progress monitoring during class sessions will be by observation of their understanding displayed during participation in class and group work discussion and exercises.
Furthermore, a formative assessment has been developed and takes place half way through the module. The class is divided into 3-4 groups and each assigned a task to work on using the VLE functions of wikis and discussion boards. The formative assessment aims to consolidate student understanding of LOs 1-4 prior to the writing of the module summative assessment. Their understanding is reviewed through a series of short presentations (with immediate feedback from module teachers).
