Pre-requisite qualifications

Completion of the second year of the relevant degree programme together with the ability to enrol for at least 100 appropriate level three credits and the ability to study to the appropriate level in the language of tuition.

COMP9005Study Abroad (European)

This module is not approved as a discovery module

Module summary

In this module students will find an appropriate placement and do what is required to be accepted on to it. Students will then follow an agreed programme of study and achieve to a specified minimum standard.

Objectives

On completion of this module, students should be able to:
- identify a relevant and appropriate study abroad opportunity;
- complete successfully the necessary applications procedure;
- plan and undertake necessary travel arrangements;
- follow and approved programme of study at a university overseas for a period of not less that nine months;
- complete successfully required assessment activities.

Candidates will be required to pass the majority of course units/modules and to achieve an average across all units equivalent to a pass. This module is required for progression to the final year of 'International' programmes in the School of Computing. Students unable to progress as a result of not passing this module will be required to revert to programme that does not require it.100.00
