Objectives
On completion of this module students will have an understanding of the application of the principles of basic science to a range of problems in food research, with particular emphasis on topics which are currently being investigated.Syllabus
Students will be presented with a number of topics of current research interest in Food science. The Lectures are given by different members of staff as well as experts from outside the school on recent areas of their research interest and can vary from one year to next. The training provides an account of specific aspects, eg: methodology, strengths and weaknesses of chosen approaches, areas of scientific dispute and relevant advances in understanding for each of the topics presented.
