Module summary
This course will be of interest to anyone considering working in the media at some point in the future as it seeks to provide a grounding in the sorts of legal issues which frequently confront journalists and broadcasters. Issues include privacy, defamation, contempt of court and others.Objectives
On completion of this module students will be able to: (i) demonstrate a critical understanding of the main principles behind, and the mechanisms of media law; and (ii) analyse issues and problems of a sort typically encountered in the media world; and present cogently reasoned solutions thereto.Syllabus
