Objectives
This module aims: 1) to develop leaders and managers able to critically evaluate key issues involved in change situations in organisations; 2) to critically apply a theoretical understanding of leadership and change to three extended group activities; 3) to encourage and develop reflective practitioners able to lead and manage change in an effective and ethical manner; and 4) to build creativity and innovation in management practice.The module begins during induction and runs throughout the 2 year programme to fully develop the student’s leadership, team working and change management skills. The module is designed to encourage praxis and to integrate the modular learning from other parts of the programme through a series of practical exercises. Learning is further supported by an online platform which allows transparency for other EMBA module tutors to be able to comment on the challenges from a subject perspective.

Private study
Participants will be expected to engage in a significant volume of group work for each of the 3 challenges, hence 30 hours of group learning. They will also be expected to work closely with a client organisation for the consulting challenge, hence 20 hours of fieldwork. (Breakdown of Fieldwork and group learning hours shown may differ group by group and by challenge as appropriate).Opportunities for Formative Feedback
