Objectives

To teach the skills of geophysical surveying, geological mapping, field data recording, preparation and presentation of geophysical reports and geological maps.

Syllabus

Residential field classes during the Summer (end of 1st year) and Autumn semester, including geophysical surveying, field mapping training (location, boundary mapping, structures and sedimentary features, etc), field work on a variety of rocks, safety and hazard assessment.
