Syllabus

This module provides students with the opportunity to consolidate working practices developed in Levels 1, 2 and Level 3 semester one to produce a portfolio demonstrating their ability to create a diverse range of design solutions in their chosen pathway.

The importance of personal, innovative, technical and creative expertise related to the chosen fashion product areas and design themes are key features of this module. Emphasis will be placed on the importance and value of developing a design portfolio. Planning, practice and evaluation will help demonstrate the student's ability to prepare a range of design and presentation solutions for a global market appropriate to their chosen pathway. This portfolio will form a tool that will help prepare students for interview.

The creative and professional value of group critiques will play an important part of this module. This will take place through presentation of design work in progress, for discussion and review by peer group and tutors.
