Objectives
This module aims to foster a broad appreciation of the context of contemporary fashion marketing. The module builds on the research and concept planning from DESN3360. Students will formulate a solution for the implementation of their brand strategy and communication plan.Learning outcomes
On completion of this module the student will be able to:
- Demonstrate the ability to market a concept/product using appropriate communication tools and channels.
- Critically appraise their brand strategy within the shifting context of contemporary fashion communications / technologies
- Plan manage and execute individual schedules
- Develop an innovative fashion marketing communication solution in line with their concept and brand identity

Syllabus
Through a mixture of lectures, seminars, workshops and practical project work, students will engage with the contemporary notions of fashion marketing and communications. Students will further develop concepts from DESN XXXX , focusing on the implementation of these ideas underpinned by an advanced critical awareness of contemporary fashion marketing practise.
Communication and promotional plans will also demonstrate an understanding of contemporary, technological, ethical and commercial constraints.

Re-sit arrangements Presentation (10%): Students would be able to submit the verbal presentation as digital slides only. Portfolio (90%): Portfolio consisting of 4500–5500 words, A3 bound professionally executed branding and marketing-communication strategy with supporting visuals and appendices that contain the concept-development processes and reflections.
