Objectives

A knowledge of the key issues, legal principles, case law, and statutory provisions relating to the Torts topics selected for study.

Learning outcomes
By the end of the module students will be able to:
- recognise, identify, state and analyse legal concepts, values, principles and rules of law relating to the law of Torts;
- apply appropriate terminology and legal reasoning to produce a coherent account of legal issues of some complexity relating to Torts;
- interpret legal and other information to provide a competent insight into the operation of the law of Torts;
- identify and critically evaluate legal research relating to Torts;
- recognise the political and cultural contexts in which legal decisions and Statutes, relating to Torts, are made.

Opportunities for Formative Feedback

Students will have the opportunity to submit for marking and feedback a 1,000 word answer to a problem/essay question.
