Module summary

This module will help you to develop the skills and knowledge that you will need to apply innovative and creative problem-solving skills within an organisational context. You will also develop strategies and techniques for managing learning at degree level throughout the development of academic, professional and inter-personal skills

Objectives

The objectives of this module are to:
1. Develop the skills and knowledge that are needed to apply innovative and creative problem-solving skills within an organisational context.
2. Develop strategies and techniques for managing learning at degree level throughout the development of academic, professional and inter-personal skills.

Learning outcomes
On successful completion of this module, students will be able to:

1. Research and produce written work using academic conventions
2. Explain the role of creativity and innovation within contemporary enterprise
3. Apply relevant processes and skills involved in creating and launching a new enterprise
4. Apply reflective practice in order to evidence academic, professional and inter-personal development.

Opportunities for Formative Feedback

Through regular workshops and tutorials, monitoring of student contributions and the staged submission of formative assessment.
Formative feedback for an essay outline/plan will be given 2 weeks before the submission
An outline of the proposed presentation can be submitted 2 weeks before the submission date for tutor guidance and comments
There will be an opportunity for formative feedback on one section of the reflective blog.

Resit for the essay will be on a different topic. Resit for the Group Presentation will not be a group presentation, but an individual one on a topic that meets LO’s 2&3 Resit for the Reflective Blog will remain the same whereby the student demonstrates that they have utilised the feedback given by tutors
