This module introduces you to the fundamental study skills required to thrive on your degree programme. It offers basic teaching on these skills and provides directions for further development for you to pursue independently.

Objectives

This module aims to help you adapt to the learning, teaching and assessment demands of learning at university. It aims to help you develop an independent, reflective and rigorous approach to your studies.

Students must attempt both components of assessment and gain an overall mark of 40% or more. A mark of 40% or more MUST be achieved from the portfolio element of the assessment to gain the credits for this module. Where a student receives a mark of 39% or less for the portfolio they will not be awarded the credits for the module and must resit the assessment to achieve these credits.
