Entry requirements:

- Generally a good Honours degree or equivalent professional qualifications, but relevant work experience will also be taken into account.
- Candidates who have narrowly missed securing an upper second may be considered ion their individual merits.
- Overseas applicants must meet specific requirements for English language. These are subject to periodic review.

Programme specification:

This programme aims to provide students with a specialist knowledge and mastery of techniques relevant to Disability Studies. At the end of this programme students should be able to demonstrate a sophisticated understanding of concepts, information and techniques at the forefront of Disability Studies, and to exhibit mastery in the exercise of generic and subject-specific intellectual abilities relevant to Disability studies.

Students will have the opportunity to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of concepts, issues and debates applicable to their own research or advanced scholarship in the area of Disability Studies, and to take a proactive and self-reflective role in working and to develop professional relationships with others in the field of Disability Studies.

The MA dissertation will jprovide students with the opportunity to proactively to formulate ideas and hypotheses and to develop, implement and execute plans by which to evaluate these, and to critically and creatively evaluate current issues, research and advanced scholarship in the field of Disability Studies.
